Toga Party: Cracking the Code of Medical Language In-Person

A Halloween-Themed Medical Terminology Challenge for Pre-Health & Medical Students

Join us for a relaxed, Saturday morning Toga Party where learning medical terminology becomes a game! Whether you're preparing for future healthcare coursework or looking to strengthen your anatomy knowledge, this no-stress event will help you decode the language of medicine through interactive challenges, team competitions, and anatomy-focused puzzles.

Explore the Greek and Latin roots behind hundreds of common medical terms, discover how prefixes and suffixes change meaning, and build confidence interpreting unfamiliar terminology. From cardi/o (heart) and oste/o (bone) to -itis (inflammation) and hyper- (excessive), you'll learn practical strategies for breaking down complex medical vocabulary into understandable parts.

Come dressed in your best toga or Halloween-inspired attire and test your skills in a series of fun activities designed to make terminology memorable, not overwhelming. Every participant will receive a comprehensive take-home medical terminology guide, packed with essential prefixes, suffixes, root words, combining forms, and anatomy-focused vocabulary to support future coursework and exam preparation. Best team and best toga win prizes!

No prior knowledge required. Bring your curiosity, a friend, and your toga for a morning of games, learning, and Halloween fun! 🏛️🎃🩺
