Executive Skills and Academic Success: Part 1

Executive Skills and Academic Success: Part 1 Online

Session 1--Understanding Executive Skills and Your Personal Profile

Do missed deadlines, struggling to keep organized, and procrastination sometimes cause you academic stress? In this first session of a four-part series based on the book Smart But Scattered Guide to Success, you will learn how to use executive skills support to make progress. This workshop introduces the concept of executive skills—the cognitive processes that help regulate behavior, make decisions, and achieve goals. You will learn about skills crucial to academia, such as time management, task initiation, and organization. Through a self-assessment of your personal executive skills profile, you will identify your strengths and weaknesses and create actionable goals for improvement.
