[Dissertation Conference] Supervision and Ethics in Publishing: Perspectives From a Student and Supervisor

[Dissertation Conference] Supervision and Ethics in Publishing: Perspectives From a Student and Supervisor Online

This session will describe common ethical missteps in publishing and how to avoid them. We will present a series of case examples from real experience and discuss the ethical or moral dilemma, who might be harmed from the practice, and how to resolve the issue in a respectful and effective way.

We will address common questions and misconceptions on the publishing process, what students should expect from their supervisor, and publication and peer review conventions in the field of psychology and behavior analysis. We will present from the perspective of both student and faculty. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and should feel welcome to reach out after the presentation as well.
