Beyond the Page: Writing a Transformative Dissertation that Impacts Communities and Shapes Culture Online

This session invites doctoral students to reimagine the dissertation not just as a requirement, but as a vehicle for voice, clarity, and impact. Many students begin to lose connection to themselves in the middle of the dissertation process—overwhelmed by structure, drained by perfectionism, or unsure how their work matters beyond the page. This workshop helps students return to purpose.

Rooted in international psychology, cultural awareness, and mindful scholarship, this session introduces a guiding model—the Flow-Culture Pyramid™—a layered framework that brings together cultural intelligence, mindfulness, positive psychology, and flow. This model helps scholars stay grounded in who they are, while reaching for peak performance in their writing. Students will leave with tools not only to complete their dissertation but to write in alignment with their values, identity, and voice.

Whether they’re struggling with writer’s block, burnout, or simply questioning the meaning behind the process, this session helps students reconnect to their work as something that can matter to more than a committee. This is about finishing strong—and finishing with intention.
