Creating and Finding Alternative Career Pathways and Purpose Online
This seminar invites participants to examine the effects of and/or anticipated and unanticipated changes that interrupted their career journey, and how to plan for the next pathway to follow. Does one want to change jobs or careers? Through self-assessments, the development of priority lists, visualizations, and small group discussions, individuals will examine the purpose that they want to realize in the next career chapter.
Self-examination will address early career dreams, images of what one foresees themselves doing, transferable skills, and other avenues to channel one’s values and experiences. Work in the seminar will be grounded in the Head, Heart and Hand model for personal development and the Ikigai model for thinking through motivation, vision, and possibilities. Theories related to career transitions and planning for change will be introduced.
